Providing free winter coats and winter wear to Hamilton County children while connecting families with local resources and support in their own communities.

Where We Serve

We distribute free coats each fall through partner churches in Fishers, Sheridan, Arcadia, Noblesville, and Westfield, then continue serving families throughout the winter at the Merciful HELP Center.

Our Story

Hamilton County Kids Coats began in 2004 with three volunteers and a simple goal: make sure every child has a warm winter coat.

What started by serving just 200 people has grown into a countywide nonprofit that now provides coats and winter wear to more than 3,000 children each year through the support of volunteers, churches, businesses, schools, and community partners.

How You Can Help

Every coat, dollar, and volunteer hour helps keep a child warm.

🧥 Donate Coats

Donate new or gently used coats, hats, gloves, boots, scarves, and other winter gear at collection sites throughout Hamilton County—or organize your own coat drive.

❤️ Make a Financial Gift

Your donation helps purchase coats, maintain inventory, and cover the costs of storing, transporting, and distributing winter wear across the county.

🙋 Volunteer

Help sort donations, prepare inventory, or assist families at seasonal coat distributions and our winter outreach at the Merciful HELP Center.

Spread the Word

Help local families learn about Kids Coats by sharing our website, social media, or distributing flyers throughout your community each fall.
